The EDGE is a non-profit organization based out of the Pioneer Valley. We were formed in 1997 to provide female and male student athletes from the age of 10 thru 17 the opportunity to enhance their basketball skills thru knowledgeable coaching and the highest level of competition. We will provide all participants with a family oriented role model as a coach, while enhancing their educational opportunities, cultural knowledge and awareness of others using basketball and other lifelong learning skills while participating in a team oriented program.
David has been involved with youth sports (basketball, baseball, football, softball and soccer) for over 30 years, contributing to the community by providing mentoring and role modeling to student athletes. He is a retired Chief of Police, after having worked 34 years in law enforcement profession. He also spent 4 years in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division where he reached the rank of Sgt. Serving the public is just in his DNA.
During the 2023-2024 season he served as the Head Coach of the Keene State College Men’s Basketball Team. They ended the season with a record of 26 – 4 and made it to the Sweet 16 in the Division 3 NCAA Tournament. This very successful season earned him Coach of the Year honors in both the Little East Conference (LEC) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for Region 2.
